My Story
This poor boy was found as a stray after a dog fight, suffering from severe bite wounds across his head, neck, and body. He also had older scars, suggesting this was not the first time he had been hurt. He arrived underweight, malnourished, dehydrated, anemic, and battling multiple medical conditions, including hookworms, heartworm disease, and a tick-borne illness.
We are so happy to share that his wounds have now healed beautifully.
But Chicken Biscuit’s recovery is not over yet.
Right now, our biggest concerns are his severely swollen and inflamed feet, despite ongoing treatment. Our medical team has started Epsom salt soaks and begun a anti-inflammatory medication in hopes of helping him heal. If things do not improve, biopsies under sedation may be the next step.
His road to recovery is still long, but for the first time, he is finally moving in the right direction.
