My Story

Skeeter came to HSNCF from a rural shelter extremely underweight and in need of care. At just 31 pounds, it is clear he has gone a long time without the consistent food and care he needed. He is also being treated for hookworms and an ear infection in both ears.

Dogs who are this underweight can be very fragile, making a proper diet and frequent monitoring especially important as they safely gain weight and rebuild their strength. Our team is keeping a close eye on Skeeter while providing the food, medications, and daily care he needs.
