Honey Bee came to HSNCF with a badly broken leg and exposed bone, likely after being hit by a car. By the time she arrived, a serious infection had begun to develop, and she needed an immediate leg amputation.

We were especially worried about Honey Bee going through surgery because she is severely underweight, especially for her young age. Thankfully, she made it through surgery and is now recovering in a foster home, where she can rest, heal, and begin gaining the weight and strength she desperately needs.

Honey Bee still has a long recovery ahead of her. She will need proper nutrition, continued medical care, and close monitoring as her body heals and she adjusts to life on three legs.
